Oncology Massage

The pressure is lighter, and if a client is receiving chemotherapy the touch will be light but soothing, healing touch is also an option. People find this to be very relaxing and soothing. Oncology Massage is an approach to massage therapy based in both compassion and specialized massage treatments to help people manage their experience with cancer. The treatments are modified according to the full spectrum of cancer-related issues: the physical, psycho-social, and emotional consequences of cancer. In addition, the person’s individual goals are considered as well as the aspects of the disease. Cancer treatment side effects are also taken into consideration.
