The theory behind Healing Touch/Energy Medicine is that we are energy and that in good health the energy is flowing in, through and out of us.  When there is an injury or illness then the energy becomes blocked. 

The Healing touch program was developed by nurse Janet Mentgen, RN during her nursing career.  Healing Touch developed from her experience and studies with other healers and her own practice.  During a session the client remains clothed.  The practitioners hands are just above or on the body using light touch.  This is a wonderful way to restore energy, and to bring balance and to create a state of well-being. Reiki is very similar and Kathleen uses that and other techniques to achieve balance in your meridians, chakras, and other energy systems in the body.
